Một số phrasal verbs hay dùng về chủ đề “Thời gian” (Time).

Catch up (on): Bắt kịp (với), làm bù việc gì

VD: I need to catch up on my work this weekend.

Put off: Trì hoãn

VD: Bino, we had to put off the meeting until next week.

Run out (of): Hết thứ gì đó (hàng, thời gian, vv.)

VD: We’re going to run out of time if we don’t hurry.

Count down: Đếm ngược

VD: The clock is counting down to midnight.

Free up: Giải phóng (thời gian hoặc tài nguyên)

VD: Cancelling the appointment will free up some time for me.

Plan ahead: Lập kế hoạch trước

VD: It’s important to plan ahead for the upcoming project.

Fill in (for): Thay thế (ai đó) tạm thời

VD: Can you fill in for me while I’m on vacation?

Look forward to: Mong đợi, trông chờ

VD: I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Pass the time: Trôi qua thời gian

VD: We played games to pass the time during the long flight.

Take up (time): Chiếm (thời gian)

VD: Learning a new skill can take up a lot of time.

Hurry up: Nhanh lên

VD: We need to hurry up if we want to catch the train.

Wait around: Chờ đợi mà không làm gì

VD: I don’t want to wait around all day for the delivery.

Run behind: Bận rộn, có thể bỏ lỡ.

VD: I’m running behind schedule because of the traffic.
